My BF loves ramon noodles but I hate him having so much sodium in his diet (he eats 3 packages at a time). Does anyone know where I can find a recipe for the seasonings without so much sodium?

Thanks!

My family LOVES ramen noodles so much that I buy them by the case. LOL. I usually use one packet of seasoning to 2-3 packages of noodles. To cut back on our sodium, I put low sodium soy sauce in it for the rest of the seasoning. It adds more of a chinese flavor for us. Hope that helps!

Another tip

We, too, like Ramen, but the taste was always too salty for us. So we used only a partial packet. But I was too cheap to throw the rest away! So what to do with the unused part? There are probably lots of ideas out there, but I would use it to flavor home made soups, or use it to flavor dipping oil for bread cubes. That little seasoning packet can go a long way!

Ramen Seasoning recipe

Hi I just found your post here. I have a recipe for the Ramen Seasoning pkg you might like to try

Oriental Ramen Seasoning Copycat

I just looooove the flavor of the Oriental flavor ramen, but don't want the MSG or high salt. Here is a copycat that tastes just like it, without the sodium. I use it in everything now, and add salt to taste.

2 tablespoons onion powder
2 tablespoons ground ginger
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons ground black pepper
salt, to taste

Mix all together, and store in an airtight container.

I hope this helps
