Well they are good and cheap, I personally dont eat them but my kids love them, I make them with a sandwich or something and the kids are content.

They are high in sodium though so be careful, my suggestion dont use the whole pack of seasoning unless they compplain there's not taste.

Very high fat and high sodium, but if you want the really GOOD ones, you should go to a store that specializes in Asian cuisine. Top Ramen will taste like garbage after you've had "real" Korean ramen soup!! I think they are soaked in palm oil or some saturated fat source that makes them taste sooooo good! :D

If you want to use them in stir-fry, a more healthy alternative is to buy the somen noodles that you can usually find in the Asian section of your local grocery store. Just boil them as directed, then add them in to your stir-fry. I like the taste of those in stir-fry much better than ramen. If you've ever had yakisoba, that is the taste you'll get.

They have an almost chicken broth/liption rice flavor. Very salty. I like 'em. I make the whole packet & drain most of the water. I like them more noodle-ey than soup-ey. The kids like them, too. They're filling & super cheap....easy for kids to pop in the nuker.

Recipes....I usually just eat 'em plain, but I've heard of people using them for all sorts of things. Add meat, frozen veggies, etc. I think you'd want to try them before you could get an idea of what would be good with them.

Hey, $.20...give it a try. :) I personally like all flavors except beef....I'm not a big fan of the beef boullion flavor.

Hi Beverly,

VERY easy to make! If you want the recipe, pm me and I'll send you the one my mother (who is an authentic Japanese/Korean woman :D ) makes! When she first got to the U.S, she couldn't find Asian cuisine ingredients anywhere. I still remember how excited she got when one of her friends gave her some chive seeds to plant! Now, you can find a lot of what you need at regular grocery stores. I have the advantage of being close to a Korean market. It not only has all the ingredients, but also has a "deli" section where I can buy the finished product, made by someone who is a LOT more skilled than I am! :)

Maruchan Creamy Chicken Flavor Ramen Noodles are the best (jmho, lol) but I only use 1/2 the season packet and use less water. ;)

I keep a few packets around for when I'm sick. I don't use the seasoning packet that it comes with though because it's full of MSG. I instead use one MSG free chicken broth cube instead. I always add frozen veggies and leftover chicken, if I have it. But they make a good brothy soup when DH is working and I need to eat something when I'm sick...like this past week!:(
