I used to do this really well, then less and less planning, so there's always extra, but not complete.

I've a family that doesn't eat beans. Nothing fancy over all. I'm building my list. I've noticed a few sales that aren't too bad, so I want to cash in so to speak.

List:
- flour
- sugar
- brown sugar
- baking powder
- canned tuna
- canned salmon(if on sale)
- Mayo
- graham crackers(only cookie i buy).
- soda crackers
- Mr. Noodles
- creme of mushroom soup
- tomato soup
- canned mandarins
- canned pears
- instant rice
- oatmeal
- butter * if on sale
- canned milk
- powdered milk *if on sale, at regular price it's more than regular milk
- canned stew(emergency lunch for dh if I burn supper...doh)
- mac and cheese
- spaghetti
- pasta sauce
- tomato sauce
- tomato paste
- yeast
- canned mushrooms
- cold cuts for freezer(lunches and some chopped to make filling for pizza pops)
- oil
- vinegar

Non food:
- TP
- Tissue
- Detergent - clothes
- Dishwasher
- Sanitary products
- bleach
- bars of soap
- hand lotion
- fabric softener


I can't think of anything else. Suggestions? Notice no beans? Grrr.. my family, fussy fussy fussy.

How about these??

baking soda
buttermilk (in container)
self rising flour
boullion cubes
powder sugar

Thats all I can think of right now..I'm sure I will think of more..

I've never used self rising flour.

I do have soy flour on hand, I'll need to check it.

Oh forgot the baking soda, and bouillion powder.

I never use buttermilk, we can't get powdered here, so unless I'm making a large batch I just use milk that I sour a bit.

Ok, today dh got paid. I sat down an allocated where the money will be going.

I eased up on the grocery budget, $200/pay period. I'm feeding 1 man, 1 active teen boy, 2 active preteen girls, and 3 preschoolers and an infant. WHEW! $400 a month doesn't seem like that much once i list it all..lol.

So I was able to stock up on some things. I have some canner fruit and veggies, flour, brown sugar, detergents and some other things. (Can't rmember I'mtired from shopping), but my pantry shelf doesn't look so sad now. I feel much less stressed over it now too. AND I came in under budget. I only got 2 things not on the list, but it's for lunches that I hadn't taken into consideration not in school mode yet.

So I did pretty darn good. There are things that I won't need to buy again for quite some time tha ti like to have on hand, those are replenished. So it's all good ;)

Thanks :) Since we're not camping this weekend, I'm tending to the apples and BAKING! Lots to do. And I"m looking forward to it.
