Adding another comparison from Aug 2011 and Aug 2012

Pizzas at our two favorite places are the same price both years.

One place was and is $5 a pizza the other place is a local gourmet specificity pizza place and pizza was/is $10.

The weekend however the local gourment pizza place is having customer appreciation day and the pizzas are cheaper than the Aug price so we will definitively be eating pizza from there this weekend.

I don't have a receipt to compare however I DO know nothing went down and I don't know of anything that didn't go up. Sat here and thought about it and have recent receipts. Nope, nothing down, everything up. You're lucky. Even my "cheap" Wednesday pizza night went up 50cents at the favorite one and the same at the other.
Interesting thread...will be watching. Wish I had some to compare but I am sure of what I just said. No doubt.

Our dr. co-pays are up and are going up more in 2013. It's almost like they really want you to think about it before you go to the Dr. :lol:

I'm curious what your co pays are.

Ours is $0 copay for preventative ( check ups, vaccines, check up blood work, mammograms, eye check ups, dentist check ups and cleaning)

$25 for doctor visits other than annual check ups

This was such a change for us. preventive use to not be covered at all and that stuff can get pretty expensive. We are llving the change.

Did you track sizes? I am finding that the price stayed the same, or even went down, but the size went down. So, the price actually went up. I write things line by line and need to go back and really compare some things, but the ones I checked that was the case.

I compared size for size. That is why toilet paper is not on the list. lol Boy have the roll size changed on those. Hit my breaking point and I changed brands.

Our are the same as yours. $0 for preventative and $25 for all other visits.

That is a good point. I have noticed a lot of "shrinking" packages... they are trying to fool us!

That's really neat...thanks for sharing...our prices have gone up...cheap bread is 1.87 for 60%WW...it used to be 1.47. Milk has always hovered around 5 bucks for a gallon.

I'd like to know too. I do know that the stuff is "shrinking" in size. Especially TP and dish liquid. Always in the guise of "new and improved" and don't need as much. Yeah right.
Margarine is one thing that shrunk.
I'm near certain nothing has went down here. Eggs went sky high that spell and went down but not where they were. Take that back. Milk went down about 40 cents??. Close.

I do know off the top of my head eggs were 89 cents a dozen this week and gasoline has been cheaper that the prices in the first post.

There are also somethings on the list that we no longer buy.
