Well I woke up to another snowstorm- UGH!!!! Very depressing to say the least.

Dh informed me last night we only had 1 loaf of bread left, so I have to bake bread today.

We've been really working hard on making Sunday a day of rest, but I guess it won't be too restful, although I really enjoy baking bread.

Other than baking bread, I don't have anything else planned for today.

How about you? How is everyone doing "down on the homestead".

Morning, CJ (and everyone else). Its sunny here finally. :) They're calling for 50s next week. YaY! I am watching the snow melt and drip away outside... its a beautiful sight! Come on SPRING! You can do it! :D

I didn't sleep real well last night... I had real bad heartburn Thursday night and then again last night. It lasts for hours and is so so painful. I am going to check with the doctor and see if may be acid reflux or something. Its happened to me before, but not this often. And I can't seen to see a connection between the things I eat when it happens. Its just weird. I have tried baking soda water and Tums and nothing relieves it. Tyler goes for his shots tomorrow, I will see if they can see me as well while I'm there. I need to refill my allergy meds too.

As for today... I have a few more dishes to do up from breakfast. I should do a couple loads of laundry (we'll see ;) ).
Other than that I am relaxing... I might just take a nap when Tyler does.

Dave is in Minneapolis and should be back tonight or tomorrow. He is supposed to bring the post-hole-digger back with him so I can get a clothes line up when it thaws outside. Just need to run to Home Depot for the post parts to make it.

Hope you all have a great week!!
Don't forget to change all of your clocks and watches... one hour ahead!

Well all is quiet on our homestead. I am at present the only one up, also the only one in bed before morning!
I plan to do some laundry. I was going to do it yesterday but it got so warm I didn't want the dryer running. So since its breezy and cool I will run it today! I can hardly wait for dh to get the stuff for my clothes line!
I do need to run to the water machine and fill all my drinking jugs. The water here is so full of lime and such it has floaters and is just nasty to drink!
I alkso plan to feeze the rest of my cookies dough, cook up my hamburger, and make some freezer pancakes. Plus I want ot just relax!
I got a lot of stenciling done in my kitchen yesterday and hope to finish it either today or tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday!

Happy Birthday Delaney! :smball: :smball: :smball:

(((((HUGS))))) CJ! Sending warm thoughts your way to melt all that snow!

We only made it to Sunday School this morning - we were prepared for ds's "clock" to still be off from the time change and sure enough it was. Dh has worked out on the porch getting some things organized and ds and I ended up taking a nap. I have had a sinus headache since yesterday afternoon and was hoping that would help (since medicine isn't), but unfortunately I've still got it. :(

Dh and ds are mowing the front yard now and after they're finished I think we are going to start moving dh's weight center out of the garage and onto the porch. It did look like we were going to have a huge thunderstorm this afternoon (the sky was really dark and ugly), but nothing ever came of it.

We have another dvd to watch tonight from the library and I'll clip today's coupons while it's on.

Good afternoon everyone. This morning has been kinda busy.

I moved ds#2 bed into the middle of the floor, so he isn't kicking the wall and keeping everyone awake!!!

Vacuumed all the upstairs and the downstairs. This is one of the jobs on the homestead I don't like doing.

Put the binding on a quilt I had finished quilting, and this afternoon will finish that. Have gotten lots of squares cut out, will finish cutting the rest out also.

Its warming up a bit here, although they are saying we could possibly have flurries or rain. I hope we get rain rather than more snow.

We finished our schooling this morning, will now do the afternoon subjects.

Not much else doing on the homestead. Hope your all having a great day, down on the homestead.

Delaney and I thank you very much for the birthday wishes....she had a wonderful day riding her new bike in the snow and eating chocolate cake!! CJ, she ate an extra piece and then some for ya!! Delaney wanted chocolate cake for breakfast this morning!!!:smball: Sherry, I always spoil her!!!!;)

Today has been school work with Dylan this morning and then into town for a chiropractic appointment for him, picked up some groceries and paint for the kitchen and headed home. This afternoon I will be painting the kitchen walls again. There was flat paint on there and it shows everything so I got semigloss and notice a big difference in even how it looks. I got Martha Stewart paint in the colour Caneware (its a soft, soft, yellow)

Have a great day on the homestead everyone!!

I am still battling this stupid sinus headache - I've had it for 48 hours now. Grrrrrrrrrr!

Ds still hasn't converted to the time change. Dh woke him up this morning and he fell asleep again and slept until 9:30 (which would really only be 8:30, right? ;) ). After breakfast we took a short walk by the lake in the middle of our neighborhood and stopped and visited with an elderly neighbor who was out on her back porch as we were passing by.

We finally did a bit of school this afternoon and I squeezed 3 loads of laundry in as well. Tonight we need to return items to the library and stop by the post office on the way home.

Good morning!

This morning I am making cupcakes for Delaney's class this afternoon..she is the birthday girl at school today so I am sending in cupcakes for their snack.

Tomorrow the kids and I are headed over to my Mom and Dad's (2 hour drive) and Dylan will be staying there until the weekend or beginning of next week. It'll be nice to see them and my brothers who live close by. So we are packing and getting things together. Dylan is taking his bike, basketball etc...so I want the van packed today so we aren't running around tomorrow morning.

I am also doing a bit more painting in the kitchen, didn't get it totally done yesterday (or maybe it will have to wait until Thursday) Tonight there is a WMS service at our church I hope to get to.

Have a super day down on the homestead ladies!!!!:smball:

Good morning everyone.

Well I kinda like this time change. Everyone is still sleeping and I have some peace and quiet here on the homestead.

Today I need to get some washing done and hung outside. The weather looks like its going to be nice and sunny and warm. I always love hanging my clothes outside.

I'm almost finished the binding on the quilt I'm making so want to get that done too.

Need to get the kids settled with their school work while I'm doing the washing.

I probably will also take some strawberries out of the freezer and make up a batch of strawberry jam, if not today then tomorrow. I'm trying to use up whats in our freezer because I have a meat order coming and want to get our freezer ready for this summer. I'm almost out of strawberry jam so it'll be nice to have some fresh jam. I'm also going to make up a batch of peanut butter cookies.

I'll be going for my walk tonight. Hope everyone is having a fun day down on the homestead.

Well all the clothes are washed and hung outside to dry. I finished making the peanut butter cookies, 1/2 of them I had to throw out because I burnt them. I hate my new cookies sheets. I had to buy them though because I burnt my old ones. :toothy:

It is warming up here so nice since I posted earlier this morning. I didn't have enough sugar to make the jam, so I'll make some tomorrow. I'll go out and get some sugar later today.

Have a wonderful afternoon down on the homestead.

Well another day down on the homestead. It is absolutely georgous outside, with the sun shining, the temperatures rising, a little wind and my peonies are starting to sprout!!!

I'm washing quilts today and hanging them outside to blow dry. It reminded me instantly of the pioneers who hung their quilts outside. Once they are all outside, I'm going to take a picture of them so I can post later when I do a few more quilting tutorials.

I finished the binding on the quilt, so now am going to start on the Biblical blocks and the baby quilts.

I found an old fashioned ironing board (wood) and am picking it up tonight for $10.00. I'll give dd my newer one and I'll use the old one. Because her sewing machine is in her bedroom upstairs and mine is downstairs, it was a little difficult for her to quilt. Now I'm on the hunt for a used iron for her.

Need to grind some soft wheat so that I can do some more baking. Picked up some chocolate chips on sale this morning when I went for my walk, so I'll bake some chocolate chip cookies for the kids.

I'm going to spend some time outside just lapping up the sun this afternoon. Will go for a nice long walk tonight.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day, down on the homestead.

We've had a mixture of rain and sun here today. I've done a couple of loads of laundry and have them hanging to dry and we did ds's homeschool lesson. I have been waiting impatiently all day to see if my car has been repaired (the speedometer died yesterday while taking ds to preschool). I have plenty of places to go over the upcoming days so I am really anxious to get it back and will be really disappointed if it's not ready by the end of business today. Crossing my fingers really hard!
