I like them broiled and served with lemon slices to squeeze on them. You don't even salt and pepper them before broiling, just put them on the broiler and cook them, turning them over when the first side starts to get little burned edges.

Long sheet of foil on a cookie sheet, Salmon in middle, top with a couple of tablespoons of Balsamic Vinegar and a sprig of fresh Rosemary on each piece. Seal the foil tight and bake at 350* for about 15 or so minutes.

I do not like fish, but I love this!!

mmmm, salmon

I salt and pepper (lightly) the salmon, take a pan, put a little bit of olive oil in it and saute my salmon steak on each side until cooked almost all the way through. Then I remove it, put it on a plate covered with alum. foil and deglaze the pan with a little orange juice and a couple splashes of soy sauce and sesame oil. I let that simmer for a minute or so and then serve that 'sauce' on top of my salmon. I usually make rice and steam some fresh veggies to go with it.

Ditto to all of the above. Salmon is an easy fish to cook and season.

Good Luck!

My hubby grills it outside. It is great. I like my topped with a little apricot jam. Just before he takes it off the grill, he put the jam on and lets it cook a little more on each side.

ooh this is timely - I had salmon for lunch today. I poach it in water so it just covers the steaks - add a few whole peppercorns and give it 10 mins. Sometimes I bring it to a simmer and then turn it off and leave it in the water til it cools. Then it's REALLY tasty.

I bake mine w/ herbs and sometimes use light mayo mixed w/ herbs.
Brush the mixture and bake. I use this for chicken too

Our fav salmon is with terriyaki sauce on it and grilled or broiled, depending on the season. I make my own sauce, but the bottled ones are good, too.

I also poach mine in a little water... I like it moist, but baking is fine too.

When it's almost cooked thru (and I don't care if it falls apart a little) I pour off the water & add salsa... mango salsa or peach salsa is REALLY good! Then I sprinkle generously with parmesan cheese & serve. :hungry:

I like to steam mine with a little dill sprinkled on top. If I have a lemon I will slice it up and put on the bottom of the salmon before steaming. Then mix dijon mustard and honey and use that as a dipping sauce.

Love salmon. Can't wait to buy some next month.

All of the above sound delicious! :)

I have made lil foil packets where I placed a portabello mushroom on the bottom, spores side up so it catches all the wonderful juices...sprinkled S&P on it then placed a slice or two of lemon then the salmon on top of that with more S&P and a lemon on top, sometimes dill. Fold up the packet and bake for about 15-20 mins until done. Sometimes I use soy sauce instead of salt.

My dad likes to steam them asian style in the wok. He will use sliced ginger and green onions and minced garlic to season it along with soy sauce.

I myself have pan seared/fried it with garlic infused olive oil :) YUM-O!

I love salmon served with steamed rice and sauteed veggies! :)

Just had salmon for dinner tonight, actually!

I like it simple: drizzle with olive oil and put on the top rack of the oven set on broil for just a few minutes until it's barely done (can't stand overcooked salmon). I just test it and once it's about 110° I'm happy. I often eat it with rice and teriyaki sauce and often some steamed or stir-fried carrots and broccoli. Mmmm.
