I'll be saving in some areas and spending in others today since we are low on a few items. Need some beer, milk, oj, veggies and gas. I'm still not feeling so hot (the kind where you want to just put on your most comfy clothes & your hair won't do what you want and you really don't care kinda mood, lol) but Hubby isn't the worlds most happiest shopper so I may run out to get what we need.
I need to run the vac sometimes today and wash some dishes too.
Dinner is on the inexpensive side though with everything bought on sale. Dogs were a bogo and the homemade baked beans are made for pennies using a lb of navy beans that probably cost 50 cents. Add some onions, molassas, bacon and spices & you've got an awesome side dish that will make bunches I can freeze for other dinners. Plus it cooks all day & smells great.
Off to go get dressed halfway decently so I don't embarass the family when I go to the store and then zoom home & change into comfy clothes.:D
Hope you all have a comfy, let your "do" do what it wants to do, kinda day.

Love it, Darlene! :)

Today is opening day for elk hunting, so dh left last night to get up in the mountains. It's just the kids and I this weekend. My oldest dd agreed to watch some dogs a couple of times, so we have to go over one more time this morning to feed them. I drew the line after that, though, as my weekends are MINE! Gosh, when I type that, I feel rather selfish! :) Oh well....

I have dubbed it a family day today, since we didn't go anywhere fun with the kids this extended weekend. So first we are going to pick our pumpkins out. Then depending on the weather, we will either go to a corn maze or go bowling. I'm hoping corn maze as that's just the fun fall thing to do around here! It's supposed to rain a little today, though, so we'll see. If I'm feeling extra jovial we may even eat out tonight! Yay I'm getting excited already!

Have a great day!

Don't have a lot planned for today. I would like to get a good run in today (I have a 15k coming up in a couple of weeks and need to make sure I can at least get through it!)

If I have time, I would like to go pick up a gift card that I guess I get from a mall because my birthday was last weekend.

Lastly, we are having dinner in the 'burbs with my bf's parents, so we will be heading there around 5 tonight.

That is about it! I may try to clean and get some laundry done in the mean time.

Have a great Saturday!

I have already gotten the kitchen under control - recleaned after dad cleaned it, breakky dishes done and put away and had my shower after lounging on couch with several cups of tea. Still under the weather here and there's no rest for the wicked.

I still need to take dad grocery shopping, help him cook and prepare food (for dinner) and then my laundry, pick up the coffee table and computer desk - thats where I've chosen to focus today. Anything else after that is gravy.

I hope y'all have a great Saturday.

I, too, will be saving in some areas--using coupons for groceries and HBA, picking up our "share" box today (today's the monthly distribution) so I won't have to pick those items up at the store, making my own flavored coffee and banana bread at home instead of treating myself to something at the new coffee shop that opened up in town as I'd planned, etc.

I have to grade some papers, go through some papers on the desk and throw some in the shred box, do several loads of laundry and whatever else the day throws at me!

It's a save/spend day for me. I spent on a birthday gift for a party ds1 is going to this afternoon and on a gift card for dh's birthday. However, we're eating leftovers for lunch and dinner and going to watch ds1 play football after his birthday party. Movies from netflix for entertainment tonight and hopefully walks outside, because it's beautiful!!!

Today is errand day for me. Today is the semi-annual city recycling day and I got to get rid of old electronics and batteries safely (and free).

Also just came back from the mall. I needed (ok, wanted) some winter clothes and I hit a sale at JCPenny with $10 coupon + CC rewards gift cards. I think I am set for the next few months for a grand total of $13. woot. And I got my monthly Godiva fix with my free chocolate with my membership card.

Writing up the menu for the week and planning my grocery shopping trip. Lots of soups and stews on the menu. I love homemade soup in the fall. My new recipies for the week are a potato soup and earthquake cake.

Saturday is normally our 'date day', but to save money we decided to stay in, sit on the sofa, eat baked goods and watch a heck of a lot of Mad Men.

Dinner was inexpensive and I generally operate a 'No Housework' policy on Saturdays so I can have a day off.

Now, if we could just do this the rest of the time, we'd be flying...;)

Cleaned the house this morning and two loads of laundry done. Went grocery shopping and this town was so crazy busy today. Spent 209.00 at Aldi. :ack: Oh, but I needed it! DD left to go to her friends house and I'm just hanging out with the little one. He had a little too much candy today and is sleeping next to me now.
