I want out of my 2 yr. contract with the cellphone company I have now. I want a pre-paid plan, or a monthly fee only plan. I have read in several sites about NET10 Unlimited which is only $50 a month and everything is included. Can someone that has NET10 can give me any information about it. I would like to hear your point of view. Thanks in advance.

I have a Tracfone and absolutely LOVE it. Great reception wherever I go, cheap minutes (buy the double minutes for life phone) texting - just the basics. I've had mine for several years and have no desire to change.

I second the Tracfone. Dh and I love ours. Dh uses just a little over a year's worth of minutes because his best friend likes to text rather than call and he gets double minutes for life for $99 a year. I hardly ever use mine and I actually keep mine mainly for emergencies. I find it annoying that there can be no peace. That people can reach you anywhere and everywhere when you have a cell phone.

I hope that this helps.

We've had Net10 for years. DH and I have been very satisfied with the service all over the SE US. This year I had to buy a new phone and upgraded to a 'smart' phone for $30 after having one of their basic phones for 6 years. Love it!! Traveling out of town for soccer games it has been great having the web access and a full Qwerty keyboard makes texting my older girls easy. I get the 750 minutes/month for $25 which is plenty for me.

I have a tracfone with double minutes for the life of the phone. I am thinking of upgrading to a video capable tracfone. Have never had any problems transferring minutes, number on a tracfone. Mine is only for emergencies. When I have been out all day I can check the internet to catch up on the news.

Since I rarely use the phone it really is worth the $20 every three months.

We have straight talk and we love it. We get the $30 a month Plan that has 1000 min and 1000 text and 30 mb of Internet. There is also the unlimited for $45 a month. Straight talk uses verison towers so we have never lost signal, even traveling from NY to Alabama. Our ds has tracfone and is happy with it. He went to Oralando with it on a church trip and it did good. It has been a few months since I got him any time for it.

I'm not from the US but I did buy a tracphone to use when I travel down there. Unfortunately, life happened and my travel plans got cut completely but based on their rates and how they operate - it sounds too good to be true. From others recommendations and reviews it sounds awesome - can't wait to get to use it. :)

I would go with straight talk, $30 a month for 1000 minutes 1000 texts plus some internet. It is put out by tracfone!

~We spend $7 a month each for two Virgin mobile pay-as-you-go phones. The phones themselves(Jax) were less than $10. We do the cheapest plan, $15 every 90 days plus tax. DH sometimes goes over his minutes texting his golfing friends and it tops up automatically. If we stuck to our minutes it'd be $5.50 each. It's still very cheap!
We just wanted them for important stuff/emergencies so it works for us. Our do not take photos or play music or video. I can do that at home on the computer! ;) ~

We have had straight talk for a year now. Have had no problems switching numbers over and upgrading phones. Service has been great. Customer service has been good them couple of times I called them (for switching numbers over and the upgrading phone) can do everything else over Internet or automated phone.

I would love to get an IPhone but will never go back to a monthly cell bill. For us this works great and we will probably switch older ds to straight talk also.

If you will be using the phone alot for talking or texting consider MetroPCS if they are in your area...we have 4 phones with them unlimited talk and text and it costs us 104.67 per month..oh and we also pay for information on all 4 phones. For one line it is 30 per month + tax right now

I have Straight Talk. I got on their website and for the purchase of a $30 1000/1000 or $45 unlimited card you can get a refurbished LG phone for FREE!! I got a phone, shipped to my door FedEx Ground for $32.40!!!!!!!! Service has been good (I had service when many others didn't have service due to the April storms here in Alabama), the phone is just a basic flip phone, no fancy-schmancy stuff and is good, and now I'm thinking about upgrading to a QWERTY phone so I can text and email more efficiently (since I don't have internet at home but I have it at work). For $20 you can get a refurbished Samsung QWERTY phone on their website (plus the cost of the $30 or $45 service card). Works for me !!

I have Boost. It is unlimited with everything. unlimited minutes, text, web, pictures etc... $50 a month and after 6 months if all monthy are made on time it goes down $5 a month for the next 3 months until it reaches $35.
There is no contract.

I'm happy with my TracFone. I don't have unlimited, though, but it's only about $7/month since I buy 18 months at a time.

Walmart has a program, and if you pay each month on time, the price drops over time and gets as cheap as $35/mo.
