I just posted a question on the Veranda about kids and activities and how-much-is-too-much?

But, since we have flexible schedules as HSers, we might have different responses.

How many activities are your children in? How much do activites disrupt your school and family schedules?

I find that, on piano day, we have to reduce our courseload so that the children have a chance to decompress before we traipse off to lessons.

We've just moved, and, with only a few children in the neighborhood, my dear kids are thinking they need more activities.

Living in a small rural town, we don't have a lot of activities to be involved in. Also having 3 special needs kids makes it a bit harder.

The kids are involved in music though, and at present are taking that in the city, 3 hours away. We plan on changing that this coming Sept.

If we have an activity we want to do though, we take a full day off school and have fun doing it. This time of the year, we love to go to musuems or art galleries.
