I noticed a small 1/4 inch tear in the rubber seal of my front load washing machine (two years old). This tear is at approximately the 4 o'clock position when looking at the machine. Does anyone here have any suggestions to fix this tear without replacing the entire seal?

An update: I was told by a appliance repair fellow (friend who lives out of town) that I could try just seal the tear and suggested I try 'gorilla tape'. My kids use this stuff to repair bike tubes :) So I sealed up the tear with this stuff and ran a load of laundry this morning - everything is good. I just have to keep an eye on that spot but at least I can do my laundry!
