Sweet Dill Pickles

Recipe Description
Super Easy Pickles
Preparation Steps:
Buy the cheap dill pickles from the wholesale store. I did a small jar of these this summer and liked them so much I went back and bought a few gallons to make. After I let the mixture stand overnight the second time I drained them. Put the pickles in jars and boiled the brine and put hot over the pickles. I then put on clean flats and rings and let them seal. I also added a cinnamon stick to each jar.
Level of Difficulty:

Time Needed:
Ingredients:
2 (32 oz) jars dill pickles
4 cups white sugar, divided
1/2 cup distilled white viinegar
1/2 cup water
1 TBL pickling spice

Directions:
Drain pickles and slice in 1/4" pieces. Place in medium bowl with 2 cups sugar. Stir, cover and allow to stand at room temperature 6 to 8 hours or overnight. In a medium saucepan, mix together the remaining sugar, vinegar, water and pickling spice. Bring to a boil. Pour over pickles. Allow the mixture to stand at room temterature 6 to 8 hours or overnight. Transfer the pickles to sterile jars and store in the refrigerator. Serve Chilled.
