Today I am going around the house humming "All the leaves are gone, and the skies are gray.... California Dreamin'..... on such a winter's day..."

It's cold and blustery outside today, and dark clouds seem to threaten snow or rain. I often find that snatches of various songs come to mind with the weather or events, or feelings, and there I go, humming and singing snatches of them.

Any songs that you sing and hum? Or whistle? Do certain ones pop up for certain times?

Now I have Polly's song stuck in my head! One that will pop in my head once in a while for no reason is Amazing Grace.

Oh I LOVE Amazing Grace! What a great song! How cool it just pops into your head. I have few old hymns that I do that with. :)

When I feel cheerful and teasing I sing Willy Wonka's"I've got a Golden Ticket". I use my own wording, which is very inappropriate, but my husband loves it and smiles from ear to ear!

For His Glory, we sing California Dreamin' around here ALL THE TIME. Dh doesn't even like to sing, but if I hum the first few bars, before long, the two of us are singing it at the top of our lungs. However, it doesn't even have to be fall to get us going with that one! :)

Lest I forget - fHg - love that picture of you - your graciousness and beauty just beams!!

When I am driving several songs seem to always pop - 'Lahainaluna" - alma mater of our local high school - only one in Hawaiian - just sings so well!! .....and "Lord I lift your name up high" - usually sung at Easter, I sing year rounf - very comforting.

Then when I am exercising in the pool - if there is no one to talk with I find myself singing our preschool songs -"Back to school again" etc.

I sing gospel with my husband, son and daughter so I'm always humming or singing one of them around the house. I do love Amazing Grace and What a Day That Will Be and also He Did it all Just for Me.
