As of April 7th, we have no debt other than Mortgage. We didn't use DR for this, we did do a consolidation into the mortgage. So it's being worked off as we speak.

But the big success is having money in the bank! We are building our FFEF. I have just over 20% done in 1 month!!! We are also making a larger mortgage payment. In fact, it's almost doubled. When we are done building the FFEF, we'll be be putting the 10% prepayment into the mortgage too.

It's such a relief to have a EF building up! It's adding up so fast!

Fairly new to FV. I usually can figure out what the initials stand for. But could someone tell me what EF is?

EF is "emergency fund." Basically, a fund you would live on should your income source dry up. (BEF is baby emergency fund, a smaller amount, usually around $1,000, that is there to get you through things you might normally resort to a cc for; i.e, dishwasher goes on the blink and you need it repaired.)
