Greetings new neighbors! I have recently moved to the Seattle eastside area and I'm trying to get settled in. I could use some help finding local bargains. Please tell me about your favorite stores - discount, consinment and thrift. Also ideas for fun inexpensive things to do around here would be welcomed.

BTW - I love the libraries around here. They are fantastic. :applause:

one of the best places for frugal food is Pike Place Market.
TONS of fresh produce, fish, meat... and lots of other "touristy" things (like tshirts, etc.).

Prices are great and food is super fresh!

you'll still have to hit your local market for other staples (ie, milk), but that's not bad really.

I'd recommend starting there! :)

Check around and see if there is a Winco grocery store. They have the best prices in the Portland Metro area, but I'm not sure if they are in the Seattle area.

Welcome to the PNW.
