Here in NY is been pretty warm the last few days, so I decided to shut down the heat, I usually wait till April 15th, but I figure every bit helps, and who knows what fuel oil will be in August when I usually fill the tank for the year. We did pretty good this winter, I guess those 10 new windows really helped, and also the advice I found here and quilted our drafty slider. I'm hoping to replace it this summer, if not I'm holding on to that old quilt just in case. Anyone else shut their heat off for the season?

Its going down to the 40's with snow/rain mix for the weekend thru Tuesday. Our heat is staying on.
We have the wood stove going thru April usually. Furnace in the morning and at night to warm things up nice.

Not only have we had to keep the heat on because of temps in the 30s, we had to have the furnance guy come and fix it. Just a dirty sensor but I am not about to mess around with a gas furnace. Not something I have expertise in. Hurry up warmer weather.
