I used it and it's for real. However, I had to present the coupon at the beginning of my transaction and it discounted their own in-store coupons. Still got a great deal on the Excedrin but they didn't play fair.
Here's the breakdown:
250 Count Excedrin shelf price $14.99 but scanned $12.52
In-store Walgreen coupon value $3 discounted - 2.55 (grrrrr)
Mfr coupon value $1.50 - 1.50
Free bottle coupon with value up to $ 5.99 - 5.99
(they tried to discount to $ 4.74 but i caught it)
End cost $ 2.48
It was still a good deal, but just made me mad that they tried to pull a fast one on me.... grrrr. I knew one of their competitors do that on a regular basis but I'd never had that happen at Walgreens before. Just goes to show you have to be aware and watch at the check out.
BTW: I let the discounted $3 instore coupon go because I didn't find it till I got home, but a friend had issues the same day and was going to talk to management anyway so I let her have my receipt to further prove her point about their coupon policy violations and practices.
