Walnut Cream Pie


Recipe Description
This a special occasion pie for us. It's a little pricey to fix but it's worth it! I orginally posted this in the Cooking from Scratch thread before I found this one...sorry. It is tried and true. I fix it for every holiday.​
Preparation Steps:
Soften cream cheese.
Toast pecans or walnuts lightly.​

Ingredients:
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
3/4 cup cold water
1 4-oz. pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix*
(I use sugar-free, can also use other flavors)
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup broken pecan or walnut pieces, lightly toasted
1 graham cracker pie crust​
Serves:
Yield: 1 - 9 inch pie​
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine condensed milk and cream cheese, beating on medium speed until smooth.
Add water and pudding mix, mixing well.
Wash beaters.
In a small bowl, beat whipping cream on high speed until soft peaks form.
Gently fold whipped cream and 3/4 cups of the nutmeats into the other ingredients.

Pour into pie shell, mounding gently. Garnish with remaining nuts.
** Variation: Use white chocolate or chocolate pudding and a chocolate wafer crust.

Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.​
