I am in Wichita, which is in the south-central part of the state. The weather in Kansas varies greatly throughout the year. We generally have 4 distinct seasons. In the summer it is hot and humid...high temps can be upwards of 100 degrees June-August. This year we've had 41 days (about) of 100+ degree days. In the Fall, it is cooler, but not cold. Leaves fall from the trees. Sometimes winter makes an early appearence. Sometimes we have a lot of rain. In the Winter it can get very cold, with lows going into the -10's. We do have snow, but a lot of ice too. In the Spring is the most active for natural disasters. We regularly have tornadoes, thunderstorms, hail, lightning, and strong winds. They test the tornado sirens each Monday at noon during spring when there's good weather.
I hope that helps!
