DH and I planned a trip to Las Vegas earlier this year and we're leaving later this month. It's all pre-paid, so we're good there, I just feel a little guilty going with the state of the current economy. Oh, well. We can't get our money back now!

Anyway...I wanted to get some ideas from people here on what your favorite things to do in Vegas are (aside from gambling). Oddly enough, DH and I don't gamble! LOL!

We're staying at Harrah's so we'll be in the middle of the strip! We've bought tickets to see LOVE the Cirque de Solie (or however you spell that) show! I saw it the last time I was there and it was awesome, but DH hasn't seen it yet! That is the only thing we have planned. We'll be there for 4 whole days...any ideas???

Thanks!

Ooh I love Vegas. We've been 3 times (one of those times was our honeymoon), but it's been 8 yrs since our last visit. Anyway, I think there are other threads on FV about Vegas, so you might want to try searching.

Offhand, I recommend you check out www.cheapovegas.com

I'll see what else I can dig up.

Have fun!!! :)

We love Vegas. We're from Phoenix so we can go just about any time. I love to people watch. Especially at the ritzy hotels.

Make sure and go to Paris and The Venetian. They're both really nice hotels and very interesting.

Will you have a car? If so, there's a great drive to Red Rock Canyon that's not too far away. (Under a hour if I remember right.)

I loved Love too. Those Cirque de Soleil productions are really something.

Have you been down to Fremont Street? They do a really good light show there every night. Someone at your hotel would be able to tell you how to get there and the best places to stand to see everything.

Have fun!!!!!

What are the dates you're going? We're going out there in two weeks for the bite of las vegas. We go every year, and it's super fun. I also like to go to Fremont street at night. They have street performers, and a light show. There's one casino on fremont that has cheap frozen bananas, deep fried oreos and twinkies. It's so bad for you but so delicious. Mandalay Bay casino is HUGE and has lots of stuff to do. They have Shark Reef, which is a walk-through casino, and their "pool" is a huge beach. The Excalibur casino has a midway arcade underneath the gambling floor, so that's always fun to do if you don't like gambling.

I love Vegas so much but I just never have the money anymore. We do stay with my family so we don't have to pay for a hotel, and it costs about $60 in gas to get there in back. It's just a matter of cheap things to do.
