The wife and I started to budget our money beginning on 11/8/13. We're already having great success so far, created an EF, paid off two CCs, a couple months ahead on our car loan and have paid all our December bills with November money and still have some left over.

We use to be willy-nilly spenders, living pay check to pay check. We were never behind on payments but were close sometimes. Who knew that by having rules for our money that we could live more free. Our goal of having our CCs paid off by the end of 2014 doesn't just seem doable now but, almost easy.

I know we are just on the beginning steps of our journey but it is nice to already see lots of progress.

That's what surprised me when we started budgeting our money. Suddenly we had money for expenses that were going to come up anyway. I brainstormed ways to get more bang for our bucks with DH and we actually found ourselves living a better lifestyle on less cash Gotta love being frugal! WTG! Scott
