I'm always curious what people in other parts of the country or in other countries are paying for things that I buy. So what is the last price you paid for.......

Flour - I bought a bag of Hudson Cream all purpose ON SALE for 2.22

Sugar - I'm getting store brand 4# bags for .99

Eggs- Paid 1.39 a dozen for large ones week before last and the same store has them for 1.19 this Saturday. I'm getting 8 dozen!

Pastas - I bought two boxes of rotini, a box of elbow macaroni and a bag of egg noodles this morning at Dollar General. I paid .80 each for the rotini and .85 for the rest. The cheapest I've seen it on sale anywhere is .88 a pound.

Milk - I've been catching it on sale for 2.99 for a gallon of 2%

Eggs- 1.89 for large 1.79 for medium
Pastas - .99 is best price but I have been getting it free with my coupons
Milk - 3.49 is the cheapest I have been able to get it

whole wheat I got for $15/44lb will get more if I see it.

Eggs - About $2.99 a dozen. I get Eggland's Best Cage Free. I just don't use that many eggs. Maybe 18 a month. I would like to ideally find a farmer though.

Flour - $3.99 for either WW or AP of King Arthur 5lbs. Like eggs, I just don't use that much, so would rather pay for quality and to support their company.

Sugar - $2.39 for 2lbs. I buy Florida's Crystals. Like the flour, I maybe go through 2lbs in 2 months. There is just no reason to go cheap. I like buying American and supporting sustainable farming practices.

Pasta - I try not to pay more than .99 cents for a pound of WW, usually Kroger brand, pasta.

Milk is between $2 a gallon and $3.09 a gallon. It is on sale All.The.Time.

Flour - 1.69
Sugar - 1.79
Pasta - .88
Eggs - 1.49

Elbow macaroni .78/lb

Eggs dozen large 1.99 (I buy mine from a neighbor 1.50)

Flour is around 2.89 for 5lbs (Hudson Cream, my favorite brand, makes wonderful biscuits, haven't had as much success with other brands)

Milk 1/2 gal 2.00 (a gal is usually 3.79, but I only use 1/2 per week)

Sugar 1.50 for 5 lbs (I got a 4-5lbs with coupons for 1.16 ea)

Just to add the following go on sale about every 6 weeks or so:

whole chickens .49/lb (reg .99)
chicken legs & thighs .59/lb (regular .99)
pork loins on sale for 1.88/lb (regular 3.99)
ground beef (in rolls) .99/lb (regular 1.39)
any other beef (roasts, cubed steak, cheap steak cuts) the best I've been able to get is 2.99/lb

They have whole beef sirloins on sale for 1.99/lb, but its in a huge 10-12 package and I haven't been able to figure out how to cut it, so I haven't purchased any.

Let's see.. been a while since I bought some of this stuff.

Milk - can get it for 2.79 a gallon at wegmans, about $3 if I get it elsewhere
flour - i think it was 3/$4 when I bought it last month - 5lbs
sugar - i think 1.69?
eggs - close to $2 a dozen
pasta - on sale for $1 pound, don't buy unless I can get it for less

Flour - The last time I bought some it was $2.19 I believe. Been awhile.

Sugar - We get the 10lb. bag from Costco and it last us a
long time. I think it was $3.79.

Eggs- Get the eggs also from Costco. It's a double pack of
18 eggs in each package. Think they were $3.29 last time
we bought them Probably gone up by now.

Pasta - .59 cents per box for Muellers macaroni and
spaghetti.

Milk - Costco milk again $3.69 per gallon last time.
Won't be surprised if it's more when we go back.

Sugar: we don't use it, may only buy 1 bag a year. Last time I bought any was way before Christmas and it was 4 or 5 # bag for $0.99.
Eggs: 18ct/$2.32
Pasta: Just bought 8 boxes two weeks ago for $0.70 each(16 ounce packages of everything from seashells to angel hair to ziti).
Wonder Bread: $0.99/loaf
Natures Own 100% whole wheat bread: $1.09/loaf
Milk: we don't drink milk

Flour: I just purchased 5 lb. of Kroger unbleached flour for $1.81
Milk: Regular price $3.74 a gallon, but has been on sale often for $2.99
Sugar: I stocked up on 4 lb. bags of C&H for $1.00 each a couple of weeks ago. The regular price is $2.29
Pasta: we don't eat much pasta
Eggs: Eggland's Best (the only kind I buy) are holding steady at $2.39 a dozen. I ALWAYS use a .35/1 coupon (doubled) making them $1.69 a dozen.

I'm in SE Virginia and I ran to BJ's today and:

King Arthur Flour ~ 10# ~ $7.49 It's the only kind I will use and it's cheapest at BJ's and I bought 30# and put it in my freezer and am thinking of going to get 20# more

Brown Sugar ~ 4# ~ $2.59

Eggland's Best Eggs ~ 2 dozen ~ $4.29 The only kind I'll buy

A gallon of milk at Food Lion was $5 last week.

Flour - paid $2.35 for white and $2.55 for wheat, 5lb bags

Sugar - not sure, haven't bought it in a while, I stocked up at Christmas time. I think it's about $2 for 5lbs

Eggs - $1/dozen fresh from the farm

Pastas - the whole grain stuff is $1/lb, white is about 79c/lb

Milk (skim) - $2.54 at the commissary, $3.55 at the regular grocery stores

Milk .99 gallon (x4) week before it was .99 1/2 gallon (kroger markdowns)
Pasta--got 5 FREE after coupons last time...need to buy more, almost out
Bread .69 at Aldi; but I make a couple homemade each week.

The one that really gets me is cheese though. I buy several when on sale at $1.50 and fill the fridge when on sale for .99 Everybody is a cheese lover here and it NEVER lasts long. We buy blocks, shreds and sliced. I try to stock up on mostly on shreds and put them in the freezer...off limits or no homemade pizza. LOL

Here in western nc I pay
Flour--stocked up about 2 months ago and it was $2.38 for 5 lbs. That is for King Arthur.
Sugar is $2.19--store brand.
Eggs--Store band $2.48 Cage free, Born free brand $2.78
Milk is $4.39 gallon store brand.
Pasta is $1.29 for a lb of spaghetti noodles.
Bread-storebrand is $1.39 a loaf Sara Lee is $1.78 (much better bread.

Also our gas is $3.52 for reg. Unfortunately my car takes premium and it is $3.79

Smaller town not much competition between grocery stores or Gas stations.

Flour - I stocked up a couple of months ago when it was on sale for $1.19/5lbs. Yesterday it was well over $2 when I was at the store.

Sugar - Stocked up when it was .99c/4lbs. It's also around $2 now.

Eggs- On sale at Kroger last week. Picked up 1 1/2 dozen for $1.77

Pastas - Picked up some at Dollar General yesterday. 85c/lb rotini and spaghetti.

Milk - $3.29...can usually find on sale for $2.99
