Used a couple gift certificates to order craft supplies earlier this month, got free shipping, too.

Just used a promo code to order free sewing notions, though I had to pay shipping.

15 d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s caramels! I was on a tour in Branson (MO) and each member of our group got a $10 gift card to spend in the gift shop. After looking around, I picked out 15 caramels (Mm Mm)--the total came to $10.80. I was about to get the 80 cents out of my coin purse to pay...cashier said she had a prior gift card with 79 cents on it--I was about to get the penny out and she said she had a penny someone had left on counter. So Free Candy! Do I need it? No. Did I enjoy it? Yes! :D

ANOTHER free 2023 calendar - the Nature Conservancy. Both addressed to hubby, I asked if he had donated money to these places and he said not. Kind of strange.
My "free" AARP tote arrived for renewing my membership. Keeping it in the trunk of the car.

We sold our desk in September. It was a big hunka thing, L shaped with a hutch. We never used it to sit at, just to store our stuff in. The room is small and I wanted something that would take up less space, like a credenza. I saw this dresser out for trash pickup near us so my husband and I went and got it. Dh cleaned it up and put furniture restore on it and it looks great and is exactly what I was looking for. And it was free!

Wow, great find. I enjoy watching a lot of furniture restoration channels now. Something my dad did and I wish I had taken the time to learn a few things from him. Of course all the products they use now are probably completely different.
