Hope nobody minds but,I'm starting out the new April "What did you get free" thread and figured I'd better differentiate between this and the "Stickie" thread from last April. So far, I've gotten free:

--bag of salad
--gallon of green tea
--container of ice cream
--package of hotdogs
--block of cheddar cheese

All with our grocery store's latest "meal deal" .

My friends from church bought me lunch ( DH has to help take down every thing from our Easter production so we had Easter supper with our grown children and grand children around 4 pm)

We've been given a huge pile of brick and stones, which we hope to finish moving tomorrow. The plan is to use the bricks to pave a walkway and patio, and use the stone for a fountain or rock garden.

LOl, not even close. I just discovered the ribs in the freezer a few minutes ago and asked dh about them. He forgot to tell me his mom gave them to him because FIL didn't like the other package.

I always forget to post here and that reminded me of the bag of sweet potatoes that they didn't want either.

With the use of coupons, I only paid $4.83 ($2.33 of it was tax) for the following today, and I will get back an additional $26.38 when I turn the receipt in for our FLEX reimbursement tomorrow. So, this trip was better than free - it made me a little cash.

I haven't done a whole lot of food shopping this month, but I did get 6 boxes of Oreos Cakesters. It was great because the coupon was free cakesters WYB oreo cookies, which wee on BOGO, and so were the cakesters. So, I used (3) $1/2 Nabisco cookies coupons, and the (3) free cakesters coupons, and got all 12 items for under $9. The kids were happy campers..lol!

I also got 3 $25 GCs for RX transfers. I'll definetely get more of those before month's end too.

I see everyone posts their BOGO items on the freebie list. I had never done that before, but I guess I'll start. I just can't remember all the BOGOs from my last shopping trip right now, but there was quite a few considering that's always the majority of my shopping with the coupons to match.

If I remember correctly,

FLEX is a plan where money is taken out of your paycheck BEFORE any income taxes are paid on it and set aside and only used for medical expenses.
