Oh I forgot we also got Johnathan's main birthday present(his bday is tommorrow but we are having the party Sat). I decided to put a post up on freecycle for a telescope he has been eye balling for awhile but our money has been so tight with dh not able to work fulltime because of my needs right now, we are actually behind on our mortgage. I did not really think anyone would reply to that, I tried vto explain our situation rather than someone thinking we just are "cheap". Within about 2 hours a very kind lady replied. She had one in her closet along with a neat book to go with it. My parents went and got it because dh would have had the kdis to go get it since I am not yet interested in driving by myself:bang: . So that is likely to be his only gift from mom and dad, he understands though.
Plus on top of the free samples and piano this month we got this plus a guy that has followed my story at spearbord(mainly men forum of spearfishing divers) gave us a whirlpool washer and dryer.
He wanted $50 for both but he felt if someone hard up needed it they should get it as a "gift". Well he even brought it here, he lives about 60 miles from us but knows I still don't travel well, so he wanted to bring it to us.
We needed a washer too. Our 5 yr old one went under several months ago, needs a transmission or something exspensive and we just don't have any money to make that kind of purchase(it is hard enough for us just living pay check to pay check right now). So, my dsis and bil loaned us theirs(they are with my parents for now so don't need it). Now we have a "new" one.
These people know us well(except for the lady and the telescope), they know the kind of helpful, caring people we are and what we have been hit with.
So even though it may not have anything to do with freebies this month what we have been through and more so what I have physically been put through becuase of someone else's carelessness and mistake, we have been blessed through it all. The kindness you show to others in seen in you and you are "repaid".Hope this makes since and does not sound nutty, I know what I am trying to say but Ic still have trouble with words.
Score! I got a canning pot and jar rack, plus some lids, through Freecycle. I'm so glad I bided my time and didn't go out and buy some.
$10 in free groceries for getting a prescription filled at the new Kroger.
I've been waiting to see if Paula's Choice would do free shipping for Labor Day (they did it for Memorial Day, just after I put in an order ), and they are, so I bought about a year's worth of products at once, and got $10.00 free shipping.
