We are expecting our first baby in July and Dh's cousin has a one year old and gave us a ton of stuff:

8 receiving blankets
A giant bag of maternity clothes (we are the same size!)
A bassinette
A really nice swing
A baby sling/carrier
An exersaucer

We were sooo excited and soo grateful, they also have some things in storage that they are going to give to us!

yesterday I got
- free cheese sticks
- free breadsticks
- 2 Liter Cola
- ice cream
- free Sunday coupons
- free cheese

It is amazing. When you start to watch the pennies, your blessings really multiply. I started seriously working the budget yesterday and went to the grocery store determined to stay within a certain amount and this is how it turned out. GREAT!

Free coupons from my uncle again (MIL is going to start saving them for me too)

About 2 lbs of lunchmeat from my mom (NYD food)

Much more to come when I match sales and coupons.

On a side note: Jlaporte I see you are on AFC too! I just joined. Got any good pointers?

This was in the last days of December, but I'm going to cheat and post it here I'm so happy about it --

Free computer tech! A couple of the super nice guys in our systems department took on my poor computer as a charity case and it is running unbelievably better. I hate to think what this would have cost me if I had had to pay for it.

I am very lucky to work with a lot of the nicest people around.
