New month! Hope it's good to all of us.

Daughter brought home a salad from a restaurant plus a bunch of little to go cups with real butter. Will reuse that for homemade mashed potatoes.

Yesterday I did 2 transactions at $General with 2 $5 off 25 so $10 worth of free items. I'll count the 32 roll TP as the $10 since it's 10 even without tax. I spent around $42 when all said and done but all were needed items that I would have bought either now or within the next couple weeks. Everything but a couple things were on really good sales.

Niko, it's such a relief to hear from you! I've been thinking of you all weekend. I hope you did not get any of the bad stuff from the storm overnight, since it was headed right for you when I went to bed last night.

This month I got a food scoop, a bowl scraper, a needle case for sewing machine needles, a mouse pad, seven hanging planters, a cutlery tray, and a candy tin to use for storage, all from free boxes at garage sales. I also got a small cabinet at a church sale, where they practically begged us to take because it was the end of the sale and they didn't want to deal with it. I'm hoping to use it in the garage.

We also got four Snickers bars from our local grocery store.

Not free, but close enough to brag about. :D We picked up a 32" flat screen TV for the garage for just $3. :) It's missing the remote and the PO said it has a small dead spot in the screen, but we used it off and on all weekend and didn't see anything wrong with it. We're pretty happy because we were planning to spend a couple hundred dollars next year on a TV. Even if it does have a dead spot and we have to go old school and actually walk to the TV to turn it on or off or adjust the volume, it should be plenty good for the garage.

September was a good month for freebies. I got 3 jars of spices free with coupons. A free donut and coffee, another free coffee, a free bbq sandwich, and a free mascara. I also got 3 coupons for $3 off bacon and ended up paying .29 cents for it in the end.

T hank you SD! Considering the eye was right on the edge of us and we were second hardest hit in the state next to the Keys we didn't do bad. We stayed in the trailer. 4 trees fell that should have landed on the trailer but didn't.

For Sept that I can remember.... had to replenish a lot from loss after no electric plus reg crap

1 box Chex
1 box Cheerios
1 jar Miracle Whip
1 bottle mustard
6 cans soup
1 box Pepperidge Farm cheesy bread
1 jar Barilla spaghetti sauce
1 huge bag Tostitos
3 $General 5 off 25... so $15 off 75. Totally out of coffee AND creamer both home and the business that's where all the $75 went except for a few cans of Lucy food and soup that was $1 a can and when you spend $10 on them then you got $2 off the $10 plus I had an 80 cent coupon. Coffee Mate was $4.95 for a lg canister so I'll consider 3 canisters Coffee Mate free on that deal. Now have enough of both to last awhile.

Think a few more things but can't remember without looking for receipts.
