Fancy bacon cheeseburger meal kit from the grocery store. The manager walked up to several of us who came in this morning and said "Would you like a free meal? These expire today and I can't sell them, so please take them and cook them tonight."

Got a large cast iron pan this evening. Friend of mine says "My roommate was going to throw it out because it rusted..." I said "I'll take it" thinking I'd have to clean it, and he continues with "so I saved it and re-seasoned it." Well, he forgot the bottom, which I have to clean before it goes on my glass top stove, but still. :)

Friend brought over two novels she finished with and thought I'd like. One is from a series I started, but I haven't reached that book yet.

Two free jars of seasoning, with a coupon. (no purchase)

WOW!! three $50 AmEx gift cards, & an $85 Walmart egiftcard, from the kids of my landlord who just passed away - they redeemed all his CC points. They were appreciative of me helping him out in his declining years. We shared a wall and I could hear when he called for help. Pays to be nice!!
