Do you do something for you? Or does it become a time when your doing, doing, doing?

My favorite time of the day is first thing in the morning. Dh has already left for work and the kids are still sleeping. (It use to be late at night but has changed over the past 6 months to morning.)

This is the time, when I come on the computer and visit the village and do research on things I'm wanting to learn. My computer is in my kitchen, right beside a window, where I can look outside, watch the sun rise, see tree branches blowing gently in the wind, watch a hummingbird when they are around. I can hear the birds chirping away and every now and then I can see a couple of squirrels. In fact, they are often on the huge maple tree right at our window, watching me!!!

This is the time of day when I feel I get rejuvenated for the day ahead of me. If I don't want to be at the computer, I can quietly sit in my living room alcove and on both sides of my rocking chair, I can look outside and see nature. I also planted fruit trees where when I look outside in the spring, I can see blossoms out of each window I look.

I refuse to do any work during this time. I could get lots done if I wanted to without waking up the kids because they are upstairs, but I need this time for "me".

Do you have a special time in your day where you can do something just for you? Do you make the time? I can't stress enough how important it is, even if its only 15 minutes in a busy day. Try it for a week and see how good it makes you feel. See how much more you get done.

Any thoughts!!

I definitely take time out for "me" on most days. My favorite time of day is around 11:30 pm until I go to bed (depends on how tired I am from work). I usually take a hot bath to unwind, and then I come to the Village, and other sites. Replying to post helps me gather my thoughts about certain things, and lets me focus on that instead of bills, and other everyday things.

My "me" time is also first thing in the morning. I get up 30 mins early and have time to drink my coffee, read my bible, talk to God, and just enjoy the quietness and serenity of the early morning.
