Well, My DH is Moroccan so I can share some great meals.
It is a whole chicken cut up lightly browned wih olive oil (2 min each side)
1 whole union chopped
3/4 cup lentals
1 tomatoe/ or 1/2 can tomatoe paste
2 big class fulls of hot water
1 cube bullion
1/2 cup fresh cilantro
Pepper
Saffron pinch (optional)
Then a pinch of spice he brought over from Morocco called HAILBA ( NOT SURE WHAT IT IS IN ENGLISH)
Cook in a pot - Bring to a boil, reduce to
Simmer/ Low till chicken is done 45-60 min or so
Serve with a pancake like bread.. (Kinds like a pita, but not)
or any flat bread you like
