I have been peeling potatoes since about 1966, and I don't remember potatoes always being green a 1/8 inch under the skin. Now, every bag I buy is like that. Doesn't matter which type of potato. What gives? I hate wasting (and paying for) potato that goes down the disposal!

They were exposed to light somewhere down the line. I love /hate the clear bags. Yes, I can see what I'm getting,no it wont last as long. You store them in the dk right??

Right now I am on a bent about Coke. The carbonation doesnt last as long. I swear an hr. later its flat? On purpose to sell more pop-suspicious I is!

I am not seeing more green, but I am careful about buying bags that are not exposed to light. I could not believe when I saw one market putting the bags of potatoes outside in bins, really stupid. I actually like buying ones in mesh bags, I think they stay fresh longer than the ones in plastic. Normally we go through potatoes pretty fast, though.
