Right after it's completely melted and when you are adding color? Before or after color? What works best---fragrance oils or essential oils? Can you add regular perfume?

Hi Cab54. I have been making candles for over 5 years. So I will try and answer your questions for you. You want to add the fragrance oil (FO) once the wax is melted and in your pour pot (do not add it while it is on the heat). Also, weather you add color or fragrance oil first is up to you. There is really no rule of thumb for that. You can use EO for candles, but please research the ones you are wanting to use to make sure they are candle safe. NEVER add regular perfume to your wax....this is extremely flamable and will cause a fire (not just from the wick).

HTH, let me know if you have any other questions, I am more than happy to help if I can.
