What did you purchase there?

I love our health food store and try to purchase most of my dried goods in bulk, all our vitamins, all my spices and my grain there. I also purchase my honey, peanut butter and molasses from there. I love the smell of our health food store - the spices just draw me to that corner.

I always stroll through the area where they wellness books/magazines are. There is always a wealth of information there.

Our health food store also sells organic meats and veggies/fruits.

Its a great store and one of my favorites in the city.

How about you? What do you enjoy about the health food stores in your area or do you even visit them?

It's been ages since I went to the health food store in the town near me. They raised their prices and I can find most things cheaper else where.

We only have a tiny health food store and it does not carry produce or meat. I was there just the other day though and got Yogi Detox Tea and Pulsatilla homeopathic medicine. I wish we had big store with lots of goodies.

In Georgia we had a wonderful store. I really miss going in there. the Ladies that worked there were so helpful and knowledgeable. They had soy milk and produce and books and etc. The one here is just herbs and vitamins. I do need to go and get more essential oils and vitamins for the kiddos.

The last time I went in one was to pick up some vitamins. We don't have one near us, so I don't go very often.

The nearest one is about half an hour away, but it's a big one. I don't get down there too often, but when I do, I buy tea (they have a whole aisle of nothing but teas!) and sometimes herbal remedies. I like looking at their natural beauty products, but most of that stuff is too expensive for me.

Last week. We go about once a week.

We purchased our usual organic supplies:

yogurt
berries
ground turkey
granola
sunflower seeds
lip balm for dd
oats
dried berries
bananas
protein powder
soya drink
calcium tablets
mixture of beans....we eat alot of bean salad
lettuce
oil

oops........almost forgot toothpaste

I think that is it off the top of my head.

The health food store is only minutes away. Dh drops in through the week as well, and I buy the bulk of needed things about once a week.

Our store is huge, and has so many interesting things.......wellness section, skin care/body section, a little cafe, a cooking school.

It is a neat place to visit. I think they have had to expand 3X already!

Do you mind if I ask how much these are at your store? We only have one health food store here that sells them (one of the smallest stores so their prices are high) and they are $6.99 for a box of 18!

Kim, If I can remember correctly the last box of 20 cost me a little over $5.50. Now our store is expanding so I'm hoping they don't increase their prices on everything! The next time I go do you want me to check out the prices of these for you and them PM you about it? If so, PM me to let me know. It isn't any problem for me.
