Windy Wenesday here too! I am envious of all you folks get done. So far today I have made lunch. I curled up under a comforter and have been crocheting all day. Pure bliss......... and I needed a day like today.
Another bright and glorious 80+ degree day here. And again, I've been cave-bound , though with less napping and more reading :read:. When I talked to the husband this morning (he's been out of town on business) he told me NO cooking or cleaning. I'm only supposed to rest, preferably under cold wet rags.
I do have to pick him up sometime tonight, though. I just don't know what time. His flight was supposed to be here two hours ago, but apparently there was weather troubles over Chicago (where he had his connecting flight) and everything in and out was delayed. Last update on the web site says he should be here around 730pm (eastern), but we'll see. That's changed twice already in the last hour.
Oh, and I guess I did sort of teach the kid (10 years old) how to make grilled cheese sandwiches. I talked her through the steps and monitored her as closely as I could seeing how I couldn't get near the oven. Even the heat from just the one burner on medium was too much for me to stand with this burn. She did well. I'm quite proud of her!
I'm having a hard week and today was the same. I feel like I am moving very slowly and unorganized! What did I do today....got the kids off to school and to/from afterschool activities; animal cares; a load of wash; general pick up of the house; made supper & cleaned up the kitchen; walked an hour on the treadmill; went to the bank and mailed a couple things; spent 3 hours at a church activity with youngest son. I think this week is PMS week come to think of it....makes more sense when I think about it.
I bought my neice a new softball bat for my dad and we took it to him. After spending some time with him and his kittens we headed back home. Made a stop at the library so DD could turn in some books. We also went to the sporting goods store so DS could get a ball case to put his homerun ball from Monday night in.
This evening DD went to church with her grandparents. DH and I went to baseball practice with DS.
Now everyone is in bed and I am relaxing alone.
