When including people in an article, is it necessary to get their permission before publication? What about photos?
I want to write about a tree cutting project on our property.
I have photos of the trees being cut. We will have them milled here too by another contractor.
Does anyone have experience or guidelines on this?
Maybe I only need permission if I use photos & names. hmmm

From my understanding, if you've interviewed a person and have told them upfront what you're planning to do with the info, and they willingly comply, then that's permission.

How did you get your people information?

Only if you have taken a picture of someone's face or printed their name do you need permission from that person, that's only because they can sue you if you don't.
