I'm going to post the first yoga posture that you might want to try. Remember, never force your body into a posture. You can always modify a posture to what feels comfortable for you.

I try to do this at night before bed to collect my thoughts and get rid of anything negative that I have floating around in my head, I light a candle or two and take 5 or 10 minutes to relax.

Easy Sitting:
This basic posture is good for breathing practices. (You will be sitting on the floor Indian style) Cross your shins with each foot under the opposite calf or knee. Position yourself on the front edge of your sitting bones (the bones in your butt, took me a while to find mine under the flab!!!). Your spine is long and head is looking forward. Relax the shoulders. If your knees are higher than your hips, sit on a blanket for support. Arms are resting on your knees.

Now take a few deep breaths and breath out of your nose. Clear your head, get rid of any negative thoughts and feelings that you may be holding onto.

Think about nothing, this is your time to be with yourself and get centered.

This is just the beginning!!!
