Here's your totally useless fact of the day........

"Big cheese" and "big wheel" are Medieval terms of envious respect for those who could afford to buy whole wheels of cheese at a time, an expense few could enjoy. Both these terms are often used sarcastically today.

Interesting. Now I know why the big spenders are the "big cheese".

That's cool. I never even thought about that saying before. It's interesting how we go aroudn using these expressions and sometimes never even think about them. Ummmm, I like cheese. I wish I could buy a big ole wheel of cheese. :D
